Tired of grinding Choc Coins for an hour, hatching one egg, and getting another

My third Golden Egg hatch was another Chocolate Bunny, and yeah, I stared at the screen like the game had personally insulted me. If you’re checking prices, pet odds, or event stuff through GAG Items while farming, the short version is this: the Grow a Garden Golden Egg is the main Easter 2026 reward item, added on April 4, 2026, and it’s worth grinding before you dump everything into Candy Blossom.

How do you get the Grow a Garden Golden Egg?
You’ve got three paths. Buy one from the Golden Egg Shop for 25,000 Choc Coins, pray during the Egg Hunt that fires every 15 minutes, or buy Robux bundles from 149 up to 4,999 Robux. The shop price is the part I like most, weirdly, because it doesn’t climb after each buy. Candy Blossom eggs get mean fast. Golden Eggs stay boring, predictable, and farmable – which is exactly what you want when RNG is already kicking your teeth in.

Golden Egg hatch rates and best pets
Hatching is where the real value sits. Chocolate Bunny is the common pull at 55%, and its Choc Chomper spreads Choc mutations to nearby fruits, which can snowball nicely if your garden is packed tight. Easter Egg Chick sits at 35%, but don’t sleep on it; Easter Eggcelerator cuts egg hatch timers, and multiple chicks stack. Marshmallow Lamb is the 9% middle child with XP or cooldown help, while Easter Bunny and Gilded Choc Golden Egg are both 0.5% pulls. No shot you’re planning a build around those last two unless you enjoy pain, but pulling one feels filthy in the best way.

Best Choc Coin farm for Golden Eggs
I burned through one evening testing the Easter Garden Plot, and the hidden lilac slot is the whole trick. Put your best Easter crops there, not filler. Easter Egg plant and Eggfruit beat Candy Carrot hard for coin return, so don’t waste the boosted Choc mutation chance on cheap stuff unless you’re still building up seeds. With a decent loop, 25,000 Choc Coins every 45 to 60 minutes is realistic, but only if you’re actually harvesting and replanting instead of tabbing out like I did twice.

The Egg Hunt is still a no-brainer. Every 15 minutes, you’ve got a 7% shot at one Golden Egg, 4% for two, and 1% for three. Bad odds? Sure. Free odds? That tracks. I treat it like bonus loot, not the main plan, because waiting on event drops alone will make your brain melt. Also, hit the Evil Bunny NPC every 30 minutes if you can; the plant sacrifice quest can hand you Easter Sprouts and Blue Candypop seeds, which feed right back into the Choc Coin grind.

Should you save Golden Eggs for Candy Blossom?
Here’s the thing though: I wouldn’t rush Candy Blossom first. The first seed asks for 50 Golden Eggs plus a Candy Blossom Shard from feeding 25 fruits to the Hungry Plant, and after that the egg cost doubles per seed. That’s a nasty prestige tax. Hatch a few Easter Egg Chicks first, because faster hatch timers help every egg after that. We still don’t have an exact public number for the Chick’s reduction cap, so take min-max charts with a grain of salt until the April 2026 patch data gets clearer.

A couple of details are still fuzzy. I haven’t seen a clean answer on whether new players can jump straight into the Easter Garden Plot, and Chocolate Bunny’s Choc Chomper may or may not play nicely with late-game non-event crops. Your mileage may vary there. If you’re checking pet values through growagardenpets while planning, I’d rank Golden Egg farming above Candy Blossom chasing for most players right now. The event is limited, so stack eggs, hatch Chicks, and then gamble on the fancy stuff.
