The People’s Plan
San Antonio’s New Home for Community Power
For too long, San Antonio’s best ideas have been scattered — across nonprofits, neighborhood groups, and kitchen-table conversations that never reach City Hall.
We all want a better city: safer streets, affordable housing, clean water, fair wages, healthy food, and a future our kids can thrive in. But too often, the voices that care the most are the ones left unheard.
That ends here.
The People’s Plan was built to give San Antonians a place to come together, organize, and be impossible to ignore.
This isn’t a government site. It’s powered by Coop SA, a growing network of residents, grassroots organizers, and local cooperatives who believe that change starts with us.
Here, we can:
- Post our ideas for how to make the city better.
- Support each other’s proposals to see which ones have the most backing.
- Work together across districts and organizations to move those ideas forward.
- Take action by bringing the strongest ideas directly to City Hall and local decision makers.
But it’s also something more.
It’s a place for us to organize together — like a community union — so that the people’s voice can stand up to the power of lobbyists and corporate interests that have shaped San Antonio for the wealthy few.
Together, we’re here to fix the issues that actually matter to the average San Antonian:
housing, cost of living, transportation, food, and health.
Because when the people move together, no one can drown us out.
This is how cities around the world are beginning to change — through participatory democracy, where residents create ideas, vote together, and hold leaders accountable.
We’re starting small: one place where our collective voice can grow.
But our long-term goal is big — to win the right for San Antonians to vote directly on local projects and funding, through a Participatory Budget set aside for the people.
Until then, this site is our organizing home — a living hub for ideas, connection, and action.
Because united, we are stronger.
And together, we are finally being heard.
